2011 Tokyo Congress - Latin & Standard

TOKYO CONGRESS 2011
BASICS AND BEYOND

LATIN AMERICAN
1.Paul Richardson
Paul was actually competing until a few years ago but today, he talks about Latin quality
through judge's eyes. Lecture on body movement and usage of arms should not be missed.

2.Hazel Fletcher
With an assistant of Anna, Hazel talks about passion and emotion in your anatomy in
Latin dancing through some basic movement. A lecture full of useful advice to all the competitors who teach students in day-time.

3.Espen Salberg
Dancers today are able to dance dynamically but nothing could be built up without stable basics.
Riccardo & Yulia, the defending champions of Asian Open assist the lecture of Rumba.

STANDARD
1.Hazel Newberry MBE
Rotation and CBM-Hazel MBE brings clarity to those technical words that could be fuzzy for many
dancers, using a popular combination of Turning Lock to R, Running Weave into Fallaway Reverse & Slip Pivot.

2.Kenny Welsh
A profound insight on the sometimes abstruse "heel turn" is given by Kenny with a help of Arunas &
Katusha, the defending champions of Asian Open. An informative lecture featuring Waltz, Tango and Foxtrot.

3.Marcus Hilton MBE
A tutorial on Quickstep by one and only Marcus MBE being ably assisted by Mirko & Edita. The
lecture is full of humour as usual but gives us a lot to think about.
